A free-standing pool is the easiest way to create a holiday mood and get some water-based fun in the garden on warm summer days. Pools are available in many sizes, both as inflatable plastic pools and the more durable pools with fixed steel or wooden sides.
This guide discusses small, outdoor, free-standing pools containing up to 15,000 litres. A round pool with a diameter of 4.6 metres and a depth of 0.9 metre contains approx. 13,500 litres of water.
Small free-standing pools are particularly suited to children’s water-based play and a cooling dip for grown-ups. They are not pools suitable for underwater swimming and diving.
